About the Smoky Mountain Nut House

The Smoky Mountain Nut House was established in 2000 in the scenic mountain village of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

We are a purveyor of premium German roasted pecans, almonds, and cashews. Our mammoth nuts are hand picked for absolute perfection. They are then roasted with the finest spices and pure mountain sourwood honey according to our family recipe. This recipe has been passed along through the hills and hallows of the Great Smoky Mountains by our family ancestors for generations.

This glazing process originally began in Germany where the street vendors hand roasted the nuts on the city streets. We continue to roast our nuts by hand in a genuine copper roasting kettle imported directly from Germany. The glazing process requires exact timing in order for the flavors of the spices and honey to be perfectly blended as they swirl around the copper kettle.The result is the most delectable glazed pecans, almonds, and cashews that you will ever taste.
